Blessed to be a Blessing

From our School Hymn, we remember ‘they reap not where they laboured, we reap what they have sown’ and ‘to serve and love always’.

We left the gates of St Margaret’s School with more than an education. We were given lessons on life’s true values. We were nurtured to be responsible, compassionate and caring individuals. We have been blessed and want to be a blessing to others, especially to our Alma Mater. We invite all ex-students to support us in our work.

SMESA Speaker Series

Started in 2011 by SMESA, we invite ex-students back to the School to share their experiences and journey after St Margaret’s, how the values they learnt in St Margaret’s have helped them meet life’s many challenges and continue with their journey.

Professional Guidance Day

We support SMSS Professional Guidance Day by inviting ex-students to introduce their professions, occupations and vocations to graduating students.  Gaining an insight into the work helps students to make informed decisions on their career choice.

Job-Shadowing

Our ex-students are offering job-shadowing positions in their business place to give students first-hand experience.  Job shadowers had found these attachments extremely useful and several had said that the experiences helped to reaffirm their chosen career.

SMESA Awards

SMESA has a Bursary Fund to help students requiring financial assistance.  To encourage the students of both the Primary and Secondary Schools, we give various awards, such as the SMESA School Service Award to prefects, SMESA All-Round Achiever Award and Head Prefect Award.

Guests of Honour

Our ex-students have frequently been invited to be Guests of Honour, to speak to at the School’s Speech & Prize-Giving Day and other School activities, such as the Annual Sports Day.
