Reaching Out
An important objective of SMESA is to reach out to our members, former and current students, ex-teachers and the community.
For our members and students, we organise talks and have activities for fellowship and bonding. Our home visits to ex-teachers are often nostalgic. It is a time for reminiscing over a cup of tea and with much laughter and light banter.
We have been visiting St Andrew’s Home for the Aged for several years to bring cheer to the residents. We do light craft work with them and have a sing-a-long which many of them enjoy. We continue to identify other outreach activities and in particular those within the umbrella of the Singapore Anglican Community Services.
